General notice and obligatory information, name of controller

The controller with responsibility for data processing on this website is:

R&D Electronics International Co., Limited
Data Protection Officer
RM 2, 20/F, Malaysia Building
50 Gloucester Road, Hong Kong SAR

It is the controller that determines – alone or jointly with others – the purposes and means of personal data processing (e.g. name, contact details, etc.).

Withdrawing your consent to data processing

Some data processing operations can only be carried out with your express consent. Where you have already given your consent, this may be withdrawn at any time. To withdraw your consent, it is sufficient to send an informal message via e-mail. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of the data processing performed prior to its withdrawal.

Right to lodge a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority

As the data subject, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority in the event of data privacy laws being breached. For legal matters relating to data privacy, the responsible supervisory authority is the State Data Protection Officer for the federal state in which our company’s registered office is located.

Right to data portability

In cases where we process data by automated means based on your consent or in order to perform a contract, you have the right to request the handover of these data to you or to a third party. The data will be provided in a machine-readable format. If you request direct transmission of the data to another controller, this will only be carried out where technically feasible.

Right of access, rectification, blocking, erasure

You have the right to access the following at any time and free of charge within the scope of the applicable legal provisions: details of any personal data concerning you that are being stored, the origin of the data, the recipients of the data and the purpose of data processing. Where applicable, you also have a right to have these data rectified, blocked or erased. If you have any questions about this or any other matters relating to personal data, you can get in touch with us at any time via the contact channels listed in the “Imprint” section of our website.

SSL and TLS encryption

For security reasons and to provide protection during transmission when you send content of a confidential nature to us as the site operator, our website uses SSL and TLS encryption. This prevents third parties from being able to spy on data that you send via this website.

Transmission of data when a contract is concluded for the purchase and dispatch of goods

Personal data will be transmitted to third parties only where this forms a necessary part of fulfilling a contract. For instance, third parties may take the form of payment service providers or logistics companies. No further transmission of the data will occur unless you have expressly consented to this.

The basis for the data processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, which allows data to be processed for the performance of a contract or in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract.

Registration on this website

In order to use certain functions, you can register on our website. The data are transmitted solely for the purpose of making use of the relevant offer or service. During registration, any mandatory details requested must be specified in full. Otherwise, we will have to reject your registration.

In the event of major changes, e.g. those made for technical reasons, we will inform you via e-mail. The e-mail will be sent to the address specified during registration.

The data entered during registration are processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Where you have already given your consent, this may be withdrawn at any time. To withdraw your consent, it is sufficient to send an informal message via e-mail. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of the data processing already performed.

We will store the data collected during registration for as long as you remain registered on our website. Your data will be erased if you cancel your registration. This will not affect any statutory record retention periods.

Newsletter data

To be able to send you our newsletter, we need an e-mail address from you. The specified e-mail address has to be verified and your consent given to receive the newsletter. No additional data are collected or, if they are, purely on a voluntary basis. The data are used solely for sending the newsletter.

The data provided when subscribing to the newsletter are processed solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Where you have already given your consent, this may be withdrawn at any time. To withdraw your consent, it is sufficient to send an informal message via e-mail or you can unsubscribe via the “Unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of the data processing operations already performed.

If you unsubscribe, the data entered when setting up the subscription will be erased. Where these data have been sent to a different part of our organisation for other purposes, we will retain them.
